Treasurer

Mary Manuel is currently Treasurer, on both the Finance Committee and the Investment Committee (Chair) for the Grotto Board. She says that serving on the Grotto Board has been one of the true joys of her life. She has also served on the board of the YMCA of Greater St. Paul (Treasurer, Chair of Investment Committee), the Courage Center Foundation Board (Co-Chair on Investment Committee), and has been a member of the Board of the Hazelden Foundation, where she was Chair of the Investment Subcommittee and Chair of the Audit and Program Quality Committee. Mary studied at the University of Minnesota and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She strongly believes in Grotto’s new strategic direction which involves reaching out to communities to learn what is needed to help them thrive. This involves programs to guide the educational success of students and the belief in the power of mentorship. Mary is an enamel artist, writes poetry and short fiction and is a student of botanical remedies.
